You know how the further back in time you go, the less defined it becomes? And that unless you are a history buff or an expert in a particular era past centuries sort of blend together in this undifferentiated mass called The Distant Past? Like, when most people think of the Middle Ages they just have this vague mental picture of kings and queens and knights and the plague even though that period spans hundreds of years

I wonder when that’ll happen with us

which centuries will we be lumped with

Like, in the year 3000 will people be all “Ooh look at me I’m a hipster from the 2000s I listen to Backstreet Boys and wear poodle skirts and cure every disease with leeches”
